One Word: Anticipation

Anticipation is in the air this time of year. Can you feel it?

AnticipationWhen I was a child, I would get downright giddy the closer Christmas got.

I looked forward to seeing which of the gifts under the tree were mine
and what they contained, as many kids do, but that wasn’t all.

I loved the sweets, the songs, the shopping, seeing my grandparents–all of it.

This year will be different since our gal is living in Europe and won’t be
coming home. Even so, I’m still looking forward to Christmas.

I anticipate the Christmas Eve Candlelight Service,
time with friends, favorite movies and a yummy meal.

As I look ahead to the New Year, I anticipate
the arrival of a new great niece or nephew,
the release of Family of Her Dreams in June,
a trip to visit our gal in Austria and more.

I’m eager to see what 2015 holds.

What are you looking forward to this Christmas?

What are you anticipating in the New Year?

  • You have some wonderful things to look forward to in the new year. I hope you get to go visit your daughter. That would be awesome–and a new book! Yay!

  • We will be in Spain this year for Christmas so it will be very different. We both have lots to look forward to this year. Merry Christmas Keli!!

Anticipate was my word for 2014 and boy, what a blessed year I have had. The past couple of years have not been kind, so I decided to anticipate seeing the Lord at work in all areas of my life and He was spectacular in the work that He did. I pray that the Lord will fulfill your anticipation with good things in the coming year. (((hugs)))

Sherrinda, I’m glad 2014 has been such a good year for you. Isn’t it wonderful to see the Lord at work in our lives? He’s surprised and blessed me so many times.
