Wonderful photos, Keli! The Roaring 20s were a lively time in the US. The war was over and I think people went a little crazy with relief and life. It was a very romantic era. And what a romantic place to have a wedding. 🙂

  • Hi, Keli. I enjoyed these photos. Though a Bay Area native, I’ve never visited the Grand Island Mansion. The setting here reminds me of an episode of “Hercules Poirot.” I adore the way the subtle lighting enriches the gold, green, blue, brown and red hues in the fabrics and wall colors. Such a lovely period in architecture and interior design. Thanks for sharing!

  • What a fascinating place. I’m sure you came up with a few story ideas as you toured this mansion. I love visiting stately homes from the past. The ’20s were an interesting time and I never tire of reading stories about that era. Great photos.

  • Wow, what a lovely place! 🙂 Thank you for sharing these photos with us, Keli. In some ways, the Grand Island Mansion reminds me of the venue where my middle daughter was married (so beautiful!).
And I agree with you–in the spring the grounds must be so pretty with flowers blooming. Maybe you’ll get to visit again when the weather is nice! 🙂
