A Practical Proposal
Though Lady Elizabeth Wayland would rather spend her days with her beloved books than an uncaring spouse, scandal forces her to find a match posthaste. To escape the scoundrel who almost ruined her, Elizabeth accepts an unconventional proposal from a childhood friend. But when she finds herself falling for her husband-to-be, will she be able to convince him to return her love?
Widowed cotton mill owner Miles Hawthorne vowed to never marry again—until Elizabeth’s reputation is on the line. Their betrothal begins as a simple favor. As he spends more time with his fiancée, though, Miles finds that there’s more to her than he ever saw before. And Elizabeth just might be the only woman who can slip into his heart.

Fun Question for Jessica…
I remember meeting you in person at a writers conference in Orlando several years ago. You’d driven there just for the huge literacy autographing. Somehow we managed to find each other in a huge room with 500 authors and their adoring fans. What a fun memory!
I was too busy at that conference to spend any time at Walt Disney World, but this California gal has been to Disneyland a few times. Since you live not too far from Orlando and have several sons, I’m guessing you’ve been to Walt Disney World a time or two. What are your favorite attractions?
Jessica says: “The sad truth is that I have been to Disney World twice, and only once was with my kids. But we had a blast and though I don’t remember the name, I’m pretty sure my favorite ride was whatever was the fastest! In the end though, my favorite part of Disney is the fireworks. There is something truly romantic and magical about those swirling, dancing moments of music and color.”
Have you ever been to Disneyland or Disney World? If so, what attractions are tops on your list? If not, what rides at other theme parks do you most enjoy?
